2. What this site stores
This site has no user accounts and no contact forms. It saves two small preferences in your browser so it remembers your choices between visits:
- jl-theme: your light or dark mode choice
- jl-lang: your language choice (English or Danish)
These stay on your device, are not shared with anyone, and are used only to keep the site the way you left it. They are not used for tracking or advertising.
3. Cookies
This site sets no cookies for tracking or advertising and uses no analytics. The only exception: if you choose to play the embedded video, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies. The video loads only when you actively click play.
4. Third parties
The site uses a few external services that may receive technical data such as your IP address when their content loads:
- Vercel (hosting): processes server logs, including IP addresses, to run and secure the site. Vercel privacy policy
- Fontshare: serves the website font. Fontshare
- YouTube / Google: the embedded video, only when you play it. Google privacy policy
5. Legal basis
Functional local storage and basic server logs rely on legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) to provide and secure the site. Any data set by YouTube when you play the video relies on your consent, expressed by your choice to play.
6. Retention
Browser preferences stay on your device until you clear them. Server logs are kept by the host for a limited period under their own policy.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and data portability, and you can object to processing. To exercise these, email hej@johannela.dk.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet): datatilsynet.dk
